Feminist Pub Quiz
TICKETS HERE
Think you know your icons, trailblazers, and feminist film canon?
Prove it.
To celebrate International Women’s Day, Bitches in Stitches is serving up a femme-forward (and slightly chaotic) trivia night. Expect questions spanning HERstory, iconic on-screen duos, empowering quotes, girlie pop and riot grrrl anthems, and fangirl favourites — all designed to celebrate women, femmes, thems, and the allies who love them.
This isn’t a pub quiz for lads named Chad who peaked in Year 10.
It’s smart, celebratory, occasionally unhinged, and very much a safe space to shout out answers, and scream when Von Dutch comes on.
Bring your gang to geek out with, or come alone and make some new connections!

Comedy Writing Workshop
TICKETS HERE
This beginner-friendly stand-up comedy writing workshop is for women, femmes, and thems who want to turn their thoughts, rants, observations, or unhinged group-chat messages into actual jokes. No experience needed. No pressure to perform. No “comedy bro” nonsense.
We’ll break down what makes a joke work, how to land a punchline, and how to write material that sounds like you, not a knockoff of someone else. Expect guided writing exercises, real-world examples, constructive feedback, and a supportive room that actually wants you to succeed.
This is a safe, encouraging space to experiment, mess up, be loud, be awkward, and be funny on your own terms.
All you need is a pen, your voice, and the damn audacity.

Writing the Underworld
TICKETS HERE
Step into the depths into a candlelit underworld of myth, folklore and poetry.
Together we will explore stories and myths related to the dark, the deep, the sensual, and explore different writing prompts inspired by the stories. At the end there will be an optional open mic moment, where you can share words, poems, stories, songs, anything that compels you- something written in the session or outside of it.
This poetry workshop and open mic will be facilitated by Polly, the founder of Love Club- a trauma-informed wellbeing facilitator, who believes that we are inherently creative beings, but don't often given our adult selves the opportunity to explore this.
Everyone welcome! Whether you’ve only heard of Hercules from the disney movie, everyone is welcome here, and there is no requirement to have written before! It’s an exploration of myth and stories, and how we can use them to inspire our own writing, or indeed explore our own minds to draw the juice, if you want to go there! The stories are just an entryway, and will only take a short time as we open each prompt, most of the time will be available for you to write.

Writing with the Tarot
TICKETS HERE
Join us for a unique creative writing workshop engaging with the symbols and stories of the Tarot. In this session, we will draw 1-3 cards from either the major or minor arcana, and use these as a prompt for some creative writing. No tarot experience required, we want to open up the tarot to be a tool not just to engage with intuitively for divination but creatively as well.
Reading tarot itself is based in how we tell the stories of our lives, it’s a means to provide perspective and re-write our stories - as the world around us changes in ways we find ourselves feeling powerless to fight, it becomes especially important to facilitate the imagining of radical new worlds, weaving hope into our stories, and springing us to action. Although our most common decks are situated in a specific time and part of the world, the Tarot aims to be a map of universal symbols and experiences - we believe the best way to decolonize the Tarot is to engage and re-write its signs and symbols according to our experiences and cosmologies.
Whether you want to intuitively engage with the Tarot, or just want some interesting prompts for your writing practice, this space is for you!

Mark the approaching Winter Solstice with an afternoon of mindful ceramics, poetry, and connection.
In this workshop, we'll slow down together to honour the turning of the season with guided writing, reflection, and clay work in a warm, grounding space.
We'll begin with a gentle, meditative free-flow poetry practice guided by the winter solstice - setting intentions and exploring the cycles of the seasons through language and imagery. These words and reflections will guide the creation of your own handbuilt clay vessel, formed using accessible techniques and intuitive, organic shapes.
You'll then have the opportunity to add poetic lines, marks, or symbolic designs to your piece guided by your own creative vision, before choosing a glaze. After the workshop, I'll complete the firing and glazing process in my studio, and your finished vessel will be ready to collect within two weeks.
Your ticket includes: Guided automatic writing meditation / All clay, tools and materials / Hand building and surface design tuition / Firing and glazing of your finished vessel and Refreshments.
A mindful creative ritual to reconnect with the earth, each other, and the rhythm of the seasons.
Viola Vessels creates cocoons of connection, with ourselves, the earth, and likeminded people. I look forward to welcoming you.
