"New TV writing workshop for anyone who loves TV and is curious about the process! The session can help you strengthen your ideas, help you write a script and is a great opportunity to meet like minded people.

Together we’ll:
Discuss and breakdown your favourite tv shows.
Further develop your series ideas.
Learn episode structure for 30-min and 60-min series.
Explore the best ways to keep your show compelling and truthful
Work on the art of giving and receiving helpful feedback.
Share tips and tricks for staying enthused and creating a realistic writing schedule
Chat about networking and building a creative community without feeling like an imposter
Work together to create a space where we can be creative while sharing ideas that are new, imperfect, nonsensical etc"

Alvy Johnson is a Lecturer and Script Editor with over a decade of experience delivering hundreds narrative productions and emerging artist training for educational institutions and film & TV companies.

Alvy holds an MFA in Film & Television from Columbia University. She has worked for AMC Networks, BET, Comedy Central, IFC TV and The Daily Show. Her short film Park won the Made in NY award and she was chosen for a writer’s room fellowship at FX’s Snowfall.

Alvy has produced projects all around the world including in Los Angeles, New York, Rio de Janeiro, Johannesburg and Tokyo.
