Writing from the Margins

  • Damsel Collective 70-72 Kingsland Road London, England, E2 8DP United Kingdom (map)

This is a 2-hour participatory workshop for anyone who wants to explore creative writing in a welcoming, supportive space: whether you're a seasoned scribe or just curious about putting pen to paper.

Together, we’ll take inspiration from others’ creative expressions and use them to prompt discussion and guided writing exercises. This session is focused on celebration and visibility, especially for those whose experiences sit outside the mainstream. We’ll explore diverse voices sharing lived perspectives of marginalisation with gentleness, curiosity and hope.

The session includes a short break and is designed to be accessible for neurodivergent and disabled participants. Bring yourself, a mate, a date, and a thirst to create!
