Through ink and thread : Create an art piece from a personal memory

TICKETS HERE

Ink & Thread: A Memory Workshop at Damsel

Archive a memory through art in this rare workshop led by artists Samira (portrait painter) and Emma (embroidery + multidisciplinary artist). Together, they’ll guide you in turning a photo of your choice into a personal artwork on vintage Normand linen – a women’s textile tradition passed through generations.

The workshop flows in three parts:
Draw – with Samira, learn simple but effective ink techniques to sketch and shade your chosen photo.
Reflect – pause for conversation, music and exchange.
Embroider – with Emma, stitch words, marks or motifs that carry the meaning of your memory forward.

You’ll leave with a frame-ready linen piece that’s equal parts image, story and archive – plus new skills in ink and embroidery.

All included: A4 vintage linen, ink, brushes, pencils, embroidery thread, needles, refreshments + curated playlist.
Bring: A photo that matters to you (print or on your phone).
No experience needed.
